Four friends from Athens, Ohio who threatened to start a stoner rock band together each time they met at local bars, finally came together to form DUNE in 2011. Influenced by their favorite acts (Sabbath, Kyuss, QOTSA, Sword, Truckfighters), DUNE's brand of stoner metal has various undertones--everything from soul to thrash.
